Vanessa and Ryan’s wedding was simply elegant and very personal. Their ceremony was held at Saint Aidens in Williston Park and cocktails and their reception were held at Brookville Country Club in Glen Head. They were both very excited to be having their wedding at the club where Vanessa’s parents have been members for years and they made sure to put a lot of thought into incorporating meaningful things to them throughout their day! Vanessa got ready at her gorgeous parents house in Smithtown and put her dress on in her childhood bedroom. Vanessa is an only child, so naturally when her father walked into the room and saw her in her dress for the first time he got very emotional, it was so sweet. Vanessa had her Grandmothers fur restored and cleaned for her to wear throughout the day, and even had the label with her Grandmothers name put back on the lining of the jacket. (We even replicated some photos from her Grandparents wedding as well!) Ryan and his groomsmen got ready at the club, and both Ryan and Vanessa exchanged letters to read before leaving for their ceremony. The ceremony was lovely, filled with a few laughs and some (of course happy) tears. Not to mention Ryan’s reaction to Vanessa when he saw her walking down the aisle was priceless. You can tell just by the way he looks at her how incredibly in love these two are! After they were married, we headed over to the club to take some photos before their cocktail hour began. Their cocktail hour was filled with custom cocktail food, and they even had a room set up to look like a diner since their first date was at a diner!! They served mini versions of classic diner food and it was just perfect! Their reception room was filled with lush white and pale blue flowers and was adorned in an abundance of candles to set the mood. You could tell that each and every detail was well thought out and everything turned out perfectly! And to close out the night, continuing with their cocktail hour diner theme, they had a coffee station for guests on their way out. Customized coffee cups were stacked and ready for their guests to enjoy on the ride home!
Congratulations Vanessa and Ryan! Wishing you good health, happiness and a marriage filled with love for years to come!
Jenna and Brad’s wedding was last June 5th, and it was one of the weddings I was looking most forward to last year! I designed all of the flowers for their day so it was very exciting to be so involved in the planning between both flowers and photos! Jenna had envisioned a nautical theme for their big day with the girls wearing short navy bridesmaids dresses, and the guys in a perfect shade of grey. They accented everything with rich coral’s and pinks. Even the vintage car they rode in was coral and white! Its the most beautiful car and fit perfectly for their day!! Jenna’s dress was understated and beautiful. The details of the dress were gorgeous. The subtle layering of fabric on the bottom and the beaded bodice was perfect. And Brad wore a light coral bowtie that matched Jenna’s flowers perfectly! Jenna also did quite a bit of DIY projects for the day. From the hand drawn gift she gave Brad, the hand sewn flags that made up their ceremony backdrop and decorated the venue, to the ceremony signage and their favors! Everything was done so elegantly and in the end the whole day just pulled together so beautifully. We photographed this wedding alongside our favorite videographer John Miller from First Day Films. He created the most beautiful film of their day which you can see here. Oh and I forgot to mention, one of the most thoughtful parts of their day… Jenna sang their first dance song! She went into a recording studio to record it to have it for their first dance. How sweet is that?! Ok enough talking, I hope you enjoy every detail captured from this gorgeous day!
Congratulations again Jenna + Brad!
This past Saturday Leanne and Bobby met me at Cedarmere for their winter engagement session! We actually had pretty warm weather compared to the very cold weather we were having all of last week. Having such a warm December made me a little spoiled, I wasn’t ready for 20/30 degrees! But last Saturday was in the low 50s so it was tolerable! Leanne was even able to take her jacket off for some of the photos which I was so happy about! I love having different looks throughout a session. Bobby was (like almost every other groom to be) not thrilled to come take engagement photos, but once we got started I could tell he warmed up to the idea and we all had a really great time and were able to get a ton of gorgeous captures. Even though I am not a huge fan of the cold, I do appreciate all four seasons, and I absolutely love the soft rustic feel of this engagement session. The bare trees and quiet atmosphere made for some really gorgeous photos, and very different from a spring or summer engagement. I absolutely love the images from this shoot, and I hope you all enjoy them as well!
Congratulations on your engagement Leanne and Bobby! I cannot wait until the big day!
Brittany and Geoff were amazing to photograph. You would never know from looking through the images, but they were running late to their session and we were losing light so quickly so we pretty much rushed through the whole session! We shot the session in record time, I think we were done in under an hour! The timing of the session actually worked out perfectly and we had some amazing lighting to work with. Not to mention that these two were so incredibly in love and so easy to photograph. We shot at Cedarmere in Roslyn, on a beautiful day in May and I couldn’t be happier with their collection of engagement photos. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do, and I hope the New Year is treating you all well!!
2015 was a very busy year for us filled with great shooting locations and amazing clients. I am very thankful to still have Brittany with our company, and this year we photographed a lot of weddings, lugged a lot of gear, fluffed a lot of dresses, did some crazy things to ‘get the shot’ (including but not limited to squatting in crazy spots, laying on the floor, climbing on DJ speakers, standing on tables, freezing our butts off in 10 degree weather, as well as sweating our butts off in 95 degree heat, etc), shot close to 175,000 photos, saw some old friends and made some new ones, and had lots of laughs and fun in between! I am also very thankful for all of the other second shooters I have had with me this year. You are all amazing and I could not have done it without you! Thank you so much Peter, Amanda-lee, Brian, Phil, Benny, an Alax!
This year we photographed 32 weddings and ironically 32 engagement sessions! As I was going through all of the images we delivered this year, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for each and every one of my amazing clients. You are the ones who are supporting me in my dream to photograph weddings and to capture amazing memories to help preserve one of the most exciting times in your lives. I cannot thank you enough for having me photograph your stunning weddings and continuing to trust me to do so for your friends and family by recommending me over and over. I am forever grateful.
We are almost completely booked up for this year (2016 ah!!) and cant wait to do it all again! I pulled a few of my favorite shots from last years sessions to share with you all. I hope you enjoy browsing through them and I wish you all a very happy and healthy 2016!!
All my love,
