Jill + Matt ~ New York City Engagement Session ~ Top of the Rock ~ Central Park

I have been so looking forward to Jill and Matt’s engagement session! Jill told me before she even got engaged that she was going to hire us for her wedding photography {which by the way is the nicest compliment!} I photographed her cousin Tara and Paul’s wedding last year where Jill was Maid of Honor, and now that Matt popped the question, its Jill’s turn to get married, with the help of Tara as her Maid of Honor! Jill and Matt had envisioned a formal engagement shoot at Top of the Rock in NYC which I had photographed at, or even visited! It was so much fun to check out the space and the GORGEOUS views of Central Park and the Empire State Building! After a quick outfit change when we left Top of the Rock, we headed to Central Park where Jill and Matt spend a lot of nights after work, walking around and decompressing after long work days. Being that they spend so much time there, Matt thought it was the perfect place to pop the question, so on one of their walks one day, he got down on one knee and proposed as their family watched from afar! So it was the perfect choice for their second location for their engagement session! I had an absolute blast working with these two. I love them both and cant wait for their big day next October!!

Congratulations again Jill and Matt! See you next year!!

Giselle + Justin ~ Yorktown Heights, New York Engagement Session ~ Faraway Farm

Last Saturday I had the absolute best engagement session with Giselle, Justin and ALPACAS! Justin works on a farm in Queens, and they have a few alpacas there, and he absolutely fell in love with them. One day they were traveling and stumbled upon this farm where they have SO MANY alpacas, and Giselle fell in love with them too! So they knew immediately this is where they wanted to have their engagement session! I had never worked with alpacas before, but I had so much fun feeding them, and photographing them along with this fun couple! The farm owners were so sweet and helpful, and taught us so much! We also chatted about gardening, and composting {which is right up my alley} and all of their gorgeous animals they had on the property! Giselle and Justin were so incredibly fun and easy to work with and I absolutely love the images from their session!

Congratulations again on your engagement Giselle and Justin! I cannot wait until your wedding!

Maggie + Paul ~ Sayville, New York Wedding ~ Lands End

Maggie and Paul are two of the nicest, and easiest people to work with! Their weather on their wedding day this past Sunday was less then ideal. They had planned their wedding for Lands End in Sayville, because they both love boating and being on the water, and everything having to do with the beach. And unfortunately the wind and rain was so awful that day, we had to do mostly everything indoors, including their ceremony. However, I cant tell you how incredibly relaxed they both were in terms of the weather!! They were both so ‘go with the flow’ and really made the best of it! We shot around the inside of Lands End for most of the day, but luckily we had a little break from the rain that we were able to sneak outside for a few photos of them and their bridal party! The wind was gusting so much that we couldn’t stay out for long, but I was so happy we were able to take a few! I absolutely loved so much about their wedding day, including their Captain and First Mate signs at their reception, Maggie’s beautiful lace dress and their centerpieces that Paul made by hand! I had a great day working with these two. They are absolutely perfect for each other, and I’m so happy I was there to document their day!

Congratulations again Maggie and Paul! Here’s to many happy years together!!

Caitlin + Kevin ~ Cutchogue, New York Wedding ~ Bedell Cellars

At Caitlin + Kevin’s engagement session, I had the absolute best time shooting with them and their adorable fur baby Dax. I knew that the wedding day was going to be amazing, and their wedding was this past Saturday I wasn’t disappointed! Their amazing details were a dream to photograph. The flowers that were handmade with love by her Mom and their family, the succulent favors they grew at their family nursery, the stunning tables and place settings, their gold cutlery, Caitlin’s stunning Paloma Blanca gown, their naked cake (with a Dax topper!), the Vintage Rose colored bridesmaids dresses and ribbon streamers hanging from their bouquets, and the amazing food by Hamptons Aristocrat, and killer music by The Barnstorm. The day was planned beautifully! The weather on the other hand, was touch and go all day! We ended up being able to shoot outside in between raindrops, and thankfully, even though it rained all the way up to their ceremony, the rain stopped as Caitlin walked down the aisle, and they were able to get married under the tree they had been dreaming about since they started planning their wedding! Riva at Bedell Cellars was amazing to work with, and everything went off without a hitch! The sun even popped out for a few minutes during cocktail hour, right before sunset and we got the most beautiful golden light for some of their photos! I was so thrilled! We also had the most beautiful moody cloud filled sky as the background during their first dance. I am so thrilled that we were a part of their big day, and were able to document every moment!

Congratulations again Caitlin + Kevin! Here’s to many years of love and happiness together!

Julia + Lenny ~ Oyster Bay, New York Engagement Session ~ Planting Fields Arboretum

I have known Julia for a few years through my brother in law, and I was so thrilled when she contacted me about her wedding photography when she and Lenny got engaged! The second I arrived to their shoot on Thursday at Planting Fields I knew it was going to be an amazing session. Not only were they early to their session {which I love!} we had the most stunning weather, and they both looked great in their outfits. Julia wore a floral dress from Unique Vintage that I absolutely loved, and Lenny wore pants and a simple blue button up. We walked around the park, which Lenny had never been to before, and took advantage of all of the beautiful spots there to photograph. Shooting with these two was so much fun, and I cannot wait for their wedding in April!

Congratulations again Julia + Lenny!
