Allison + Bradley ~ Stony Brook, New York Wedding ~ Three Village Inn

Allison and Bradley’s wedding this weekend was our last wedding of 2018! We photographed 55 weddings last year, on top of all of our engagement sessions and it kept us very, very busy! I couldn’t be more thankful for all of our 2018 couples! This wedding was a perfect way to wrap up our year. Allison and Bradley dreamed of a winter wedding, with an outdoor ceremony, with their guests sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows and peppermint sticks wrapped in blankets as they watched them said their I dos… and that is exactly what we did! We started their day at the Three Village Inn {everything was on site which I find takes so much stress off of the couple!}. They both got ready in the cottages behind the venue, and they decided not to do a first look as they wanted to see each other for the first time as Allison walked down the aisle to Bradley! While I was shooting details outside it started snowing and it was just magical! I knew how excited they were to have a winter wedding so snowfall in the background of their detail shots made me smile! If you look closely you can see snow falling on their invitation, and falling behind Allison’s bouquet! The guys also got ready on site, and we photographed both of them, their families and the bridal parties early and separately so they didn’t see each other before the ceremony! Allison wore a beautiful Sophia Tolli gown with her bridesmaids in grey Jenny Yoo’s, and Bradley was in a navy velvet jacket, with the groomsmen matching in black velvet! I absolutely LOVED all of their apparel! Their first look as Allison walked down the aisle brought them both to tears, and their sweet vows were so fitting and seemed so perfect for them. After they were officially married we finished up their portraits and then got them into cocktail hour with a few minutes to spend with their guests! During their reception we snuck out for a bit during golden hour and got the most beautiful warm light for their last photo set of the night. I couldn’t get over how beautiful the light was that afternoon, especially after it was snowing the same morning! I had such a great time working with these two and couldn’t be happier that they were the couple who ended our long but amazing 2018 wedding season!

Congratulations again Allison + Bradley! Here’s to many cozy nights with your fur baby Charlie sipping hot cocoa with all the toppings!

Alexa + Brian ~ New York City Wedding ~ Current, Pier 59

We had the pleasure of working with Alexa and Brian at their NYC wedding on Friday at Current, Chelsea Piers. We worked alongside our talented friend Rebecca from Four Doves on video, as well as their amazing planner Elodie from Tall and Small Events. Unfortunately it ended up raining the entire day, but luckily the floor to ceiling windows at the venue provided the most amazing filtered natural light for the whole day! Brian got ready at a hotel nearby, while Alexa and her bridesmaids had hair and makeup done at the bridal suite at Current. After Alexa got dressed with the help of her Mom and her twin sisters the girls opened letters written to them from their Father, and they couldn’t even get through the first sentence without crying! We had a first look with Dad after they read the letters, and then Brian arrived from the hotel to see his beautiful bride before their ceremony. Their first look was so sweet, and the space by those beautiful windows was absolutely perfect. These two hadn’t done an engagement session with us before the wedding, but even without the coaching that I do at engagement sessions they were so incredibly easy to photograph and overall such a pleasure to work with! We photographed all of their portraits before their ceremony, all within the venue due to the rain, but we were able to do so much in the space! I couldn’t have asked for better lighting on such a rainy day! Their ceremony was beautiful and took place after sunset in their ballroom. They went right into cocktail hour to enjoy with their family and friends. Their reception was so much fun, with a packed dance floor, three heartfelt speeches, and cupcakes in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. At the end of the night it finally stopped raining and it was unseasonably warm so we snuck outside for a few minutes to take a few nighttime photos before packing up. I absolutely loved this day, and I loved working with these two and their families!

Congratulations again Alexa + Brian! Here’s to many years of smiling and dancing together {even when its raining}!

Emily + Daniel ~ Woodbury, New York Wedding ~ Woodbury Jewish Center

Emily and Daniel’s wedding was held at the Woodbury Jewish Center on December 6th, on what was a very chilly but sunny day! They both got ready at the Jewish Center before we did their first look in front of the amazing color blocked Chuppah made by the very talented Verbena Designs! After their first look we headed to Planting Fields for portraits with their bridal party. It started to get too cold so we decided to leave Planting Fields and finish up their portraits at the venue. After their portraits they had their cocktail hour before their ceremony {very untraditional, but I loved it!} and then after their ceremony they danced the night away in their stunning reception room!

Congratulations Emily + Daniel! Here’s to many love filled years together!

Tori + Anthony ~ Syosset, New York Wedding ~ North Ritz Club

Tori and Anthony were married this past Friday and it was such a beautiful day! The ladies got ready at Tori’s parents’ house and the gentlemen got ready at the home Anthony and Tori share. When everyone was all set to go, we headed to the beautiful Saint Anthony’s Church in Oceanside for their beautiful ceremony. I have special memories of this church because it’s where I photographed Tori’s brother’s wedding, as well as where my goddaughter was Christened earlier this year, and it was so nice to be back! After the ceremony, we were able to catch what was left of golden hour in the small park area next to the chapel. After the sun went down everyone headed to the North Ritz Club in Syosset for their reception, which was such a fun party complete with a toast by Tori’s Dad which I loved and a song sung by Anthony’s grandfather which was so sweet!! I wish this couple all the best and am so honored to have photographed this family for the third time! I can’t wait for the next one!

Congratulations again Tori + Anthony! Here’s to many love filled years together!

Stephene + Colin ~ Glen Head, New York Wedding ~ Deseversky Mansion

Stephene and Colin got married this past Saturday and it was so wonderful! The ladies and men got ready at their respective families’ houses and everyone such had a blast. When everyone was all set to go, we headed to the gorgeous Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, NY for the ceremony, which was super heartfelt and lovely! It was so special to see a couple who met in the 6th grade finally get to say I do! The whole thing was made even better by the presence of Aryell, their adorable pup. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the stunning Deseversky Mansion in Glen Head for the reception, which was such a fun party! I wish this couple all the best and am so honored to have photographed such a wonderful wedding!

Congratulations again Stephene + Colin! Here’s to many love filled years together!!
