Sarah + Matt ~ Babylon, New York Engagement Session ~ Robert Moses

Yesterday afternoon I met Sarah and Matt at Robert Moses for their beach engagement session. This beach couldn’t have been a more appropriate location to photograph this adorable couple since Matt proposed to Sarah on the bay side of the lighthouse! Sarah and Matt, a math teacher and engineer who both love their careers, have been doing a lot of traveling lately. They just got back from Italy and said it was beautiful. I am planning on doing some traveling next year and they made me want to book my trips now!! I loved both of their outfits ~ especially the blue dress Sarah chose to wear on the beach! They both were so easy to photograph and even Matt was a dream to work with ~ he was so pleasant! The entire evening was so much fun!

Congratulations again Sarah + Matt!  I can’t wait to work with you again at your Lands End wedding {a favorite venue of mine!} next May!

Taylor + John ~ Stony Brook, New York Wedding ~ Soundview Beach

Taylor and John’s wedding was this Saturday on the most beautiful sunny September day! They planned a beautiful affair with all the perfect details to make their wedding unique! From their beautiful Sperry tent, to the swing that their cake sat on, to the surprise firework display at the end of the night. Everything was just magical! The ladies got ready at Taylors parents house, on the same block as the beach in Stony Brook, and the guys got ready at Danfords in Port Jefferson before heading to the beach for their ceremony in front of a flower lined arch by the sound. John’s reaction to seeing Taylor walk down the aisle to him was so sweet, and when they just naturally fell into each other after their first kiss when being pronounced husband and wife made my heart happy. After their ceremony we spent golden hour taking photos of them by the water and in the most perfect living room they had set up adjacent to the tent – there was even a working chandelier! It was stunning. Their reception didn’t disappoint with a packed dance floor and the most beautiful sunset as a background for their first dance. We had the best day which ended with a row of sparklers leading the couple to cut their cake, with a surprise display of fireworks for everyone to enjoy. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day!

Congratulations Taylor + John! Cheers to many more happy years!

Olivia + Mark ~ Oyster Bay, New York Engagement Session ~ Planting Fields Arboretum

I met Olivia and Mark at their engagement session this Sunday at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. Their nerves were very real before the shoot, but once I got them in front of my camera they lit up and were amazing to photograph. We had a beautiful and warm afternoon with the perfect light to help these two glow even more then they do naturally. Their love was so sweet to document. They were funny and playful, but still so loving – and fell into each other with such ease and comfort. We had a change of outfit which I loved. I cannot wait for slouchy sweater and bootie season! Working with these two was a blast and I couldn’t be happier they chose me to photograph this happy time!

Congratulations again Olivia + Mark!!

Barbara + Chris ~ Jamesport, New York Wedding ~ Jamesport Manor Inn

This past Saturday was Barbara and Chris’ wedding. They had been planning for over a year and couldn’t wait to have their wedding at the beautiful Jamesport Manor Inn. They both got ready at The Farmhouse on Front Street, a gorgeous rental property big enough for their bridal party and immediate family to stay at, with the most beautifully lit and decorated rooms! After everyone was ready we did their first look on the porch out back, and then photographed them in and around the property before leaving for the ceremony! Barbara and her Dad pulled up in his beautiful white car, and we met their three adorable flower girls there early for some photos before getting these two married! After their ceremony we headed straight to Jamesport Manor Inn where they had lawn games set up next to their tented reception space, adorned with baskets of flowers with apples – a nod to the apple orchard surrounding the reception space – a naked cake decorated with greenery and berries, and a cocktail hour with a diy photo booth and a raw bar. How perfect! Their first dance {after Barbara entered being pushed by Chris in a wheelbarrow} was the sweetest most fun and heartwarming first dance. Barbara lit up on the dance floor and the party was amazing, even despite the rain that unexpectedly showed up during their reception! They ended the night with a piñata filled with mini booze bottles, candy and lotto tickets. It was so much fun! I had an amazing time documenting their day and couldnt be happier for these two. Thanks for choosing us to be there to capture it all!

Congratulations again Barbara + Chris! Here’s to many more happy days like this one filled with laughter and love!

Emily + Anthony ~ Oyster Bay, New York Engagement Session ~ Planting Fields Arboretum

I had the pleasure of meeting Emily at a photo shoot I was on a few years ago. She is a very talented hair dresser and she did my hair {so beautifully!}. Fast forward to early last month when she contacted me about her engagement! She and Anthony are planning a destination wedding and wanted to hire me to photograph their engagement photos! I was so honored that she reached out, and thrilled when we set it up! Yesterday was our scheduled shoot date, and it was calling for rain – all. day. Due to both of them owning their own businesses their work schedules are really tough to plan around so we decided to switch their location and shoot at Planting Fields Arboretum in their greenhouse {where we would have cover from the rain!}. We were the only ones in the park since it was raining so we shot most of their photos in the greenhouse, but since it wasn’t down pouring – and these two were down for anything – we took a little walk {with umbrellas} over to Coe Hall for the end of their session! I had so much fun with these two and love the way these photos turned out – the rain couldn’t stop us!

Congratulations again Emily and Anthony! Thank you for choosing me to capture this happy time in your life!
